Saturday, July 20th event brings together more than 100 youth
WHAT: UnitedHealthcare IRONKIDS athletes will run along part of the same route and end at the same finish line as the upcoming Lake Stevens IRONMAN 70.3. The one-mile Fun Run is for “triathletes to be” and aimed to help stem the rising tide of childhood obesity through exercise and healthy lifestyles.
The company will provide complimentary entry fees for the race to the Lake Stevens Boys & Girls Club and Sea Mar, enabling youth who often face barriers to good health, to compete in a running event.
UnitedHealthcare’s mascot, Dr. Health E. Hound, along with community supporters and families, will cheer the kids on as they “compete” for healthy living.
