The Crossroads at Lake Stevens is starting its second series of a community outreach program designed for people who have hurts, hang-ups and habits and are at least willing to believe that there may be a universally based prescription to help them find a solution.
His name is Jesus and the program is called Celebrate Recovery.
Many people think that recovery is just for people with alcohol or drug problems. The truth is that many of us have created unhealthy methods for handling life. Regardless of your struggle, whether its emotional, relational, financial, spiritual, sexual, abandonment...or any other common hurt, hang-up or habit you just can not seem to beat on your own.
Celebrate Recovery teaches people to make the healing choices that will help them become the people God created them to be. This last year Celebrate Recovery at the Crossroads at Lake Stevens, worked with people who had anger management problems, terminal illnesses, family separations, and insecurity issues just to name a few hurts, hang-ups and habits.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-Step Program, with its Principles based on the eight Beatitudes.
Celebrate Recovery deals with big issues like recovery from alcohol, drugs and sex addiction, as well as everyday issues like abandonment, grief, codependency, divorce, eating disorders, anger, resentment and abuse.
The second go around will begin on November 13, 2010.
It is a 12-month program and we meet every Saturday night. During this period Celebrate Recovery will provide the participants with Christ centered guidance through the eight Principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ centered 12-step program.
“I will give you back your health and heal your wounds!” says the Lord.”
Designed to meet any legal requirements for the attendance of an out patient recovery program, Celebrate Recovery provides you with a safe place to get real about your hurts, habits and hang-ups and Maintain your anonymity.
