Lake Stevens wrestling starts the season out right

The defending 4A State Champion Lake Stevens High School Wrestling team began their season last Friday evening, Dec. 2 with a double home dual competing against Kamiak H.S. and last season’s Wesco South Champion Edmonds-Woodway.
Lake began the evening by defeating Kamiak 69-6. Lake wrestlers recorded falls in 8 of the 10 weights wrestled with Kamiak’s 6 points coming by way of forfeit.

In Lake’s second dual of the evening they defeated Woodway 57-14.

Lake Stevens wrestlers continued wrestling on Saturday with a double away dual vs. Rogers of Puyallup and this year’s 4A top ranked Tahoma Bears. Lake came away with a 57-15 win vs. Rogers but suffered their first loss of the year losing to Tahoma 48-19.

Four Lake Stevens wrestlers won all four of their matches: (106 pounds) Alex Rodorigo, (120 pounds) Dakota Reynolds, (132 pounds) Eric Soler and (152 pounds) Kinsey Johnson.
