Lake Stevens High School had four of the five winners in the Snohomish PUD photography contest. Their work best fitted the theme, “Energy in Action” and is proudly displayed in the lobby of the SnoPUD main office in Everett.
Winners were Joseph Palmieri, 10th grade; Kathryn Danielson, 11th grade; Tyler Irwin, 11th grade; and Jessica Scruggs, 11th grade.
Each winner received $75 and were recognized at the May 2012 PUD Board of Commissioners meeting.
The art contest theme was “Celebrating Electricity” and was open to all grade levels, K-12.
Students were challenged to use their artistic talents and creativity to design a poster that shows one of their favorite ways that they use electricity.
North Lake Middle School seventh grade student, Makala Akers won in this category for her design. She received $50 and was also recognized at the May 2012 PUD Board of Commissioners meeting. Her poster is also displayed in the lobby of the main SnoPUD office in Everett.
