Zion Lutheran School of Lake Stevens was awarded National Accreditation by the National Lutheran School Accreditation Commission, which met in St. Louis, Miss. on July 26, 2012.

One of 695 schools in the nation that has achieved this recognition since 1987, Zion Lutheran School has demonstrated the quality of its educational program through a yearlong comprehensive self-study, to a visiting team and to the district accreditation commission.

All have agreed that Zion Lutheran School is worthy of National Lutheran School Accreditation. The certificate was awarded at a public ceremony on September 26, 2012 and is active for five years.
