L.S. students accepted into the Aerospace Scholars program

The Washington Aerospace Scholars program is pleased to announce that Nicholas Alldredge and Alan Brazelton from Lake Stevens High School will be participating in one of the four WAS Summer Residency sessions held in June and July at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

On Friday, June 1, during the final meeting of the year for the Youth Advisory Council in Lake Stevens, City Councilman Kim Daughtry presented six of the Senior members with the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

Sarah Foster was awarded the Jill L. Renshaw Memorial Scholarship award of $6,000 for 2012.

The 5th Avenue Musical Theater Awards is a fantastic program, entirely unique in this country—a program designed to recognize high school musical theater all around the state with a student version of the Tony Awards.

LSHS Leadership students host Prom for Special Education students

In May the Leadership Class at Lake Stevens High School, directed by Leadership and Social Studies teacher Mr. Joe Cronin, put together a dance for all special education students at Lake Stevens High School.

State honors 196 top high school seniors for academics, leadership, service

One hundred ninety-six Washington high school seniors have been honored as Washington Scholars or Washington Scholar Alternates in recognition of their academic achievements, leadership, and community service, the Higher Education Coordinating Board (HECB) and the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP) including Megan E. Pryor of Lake Stevens High School.

LSHS students honored in Snohomish PUD photography contest

Lake Stevens High School had four of the five winners in the Snohomish PUD photography contest. Their work best fitted the theme, “Energy in Action” and is proudly displayed in the lobby of the SnoPUD main office in Everett.
