LSSD holding summer lunch program
Starting on Monday, June 25 and running through Friday, August 3 the Lake Stevens School District will be offering free lunch at Hillcrest Elementary School, weekdays from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m.
CMH and LSHS students win Youth Challenge awards
Alex Cortez was selected for the Youth Challenge Award, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lynwood, for his leadership skills, and Kyle Antel of Lake Stevens High School was chosen for his work in Environmental Service.

5th Avenue awards announces L.S. as nominee
The 5th Avenue Musical Theater Awards is a fantastic program, entirely unique in this country—a program designed to recognize high school musical theater all around the state with a student version of the Tony Awards.
LSHS Leadership students host Prom for Special Education students
In May the Leadership Class at Lake Stevens High School, directed by Leadership and Social Studies teacher Mr. Joe Cronin, put together a dance for all special education students at Lake Stevens High School.
State honors 196 top high school seniors for academics, leadership, service
One hundred ninety-six Washington high school seniors have been honored as Washington Scholars or Washington Scholar Alternates in recognition of their academic achievements, leadership, and community service, the Higher Education Coordinating Board (HECB) and the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP) including Megan E. Pryor of Lake Stevens High School.
LSHS students honored in Snohomish PUD photography contest
Lake Stevens High School had four of the five winners in the Snohomish PUD photography contest. Their work best fitted the theme, “Energy in Action” and is proudly displayed in the lobby of the SnoPUD main office in Everett.

Mt. Pilchuck Elementary holds second annual cancer/memory walk
This year Lake Stevens is having their second annual Relay For Life on May 19 and 20. Many Pilchuck students, staff, and parents will be participating in this walk sponsored by The American Cancer Society.
