Jorgen Anderson, a 2009 graduate of Lake Stevens High School, is one of 31 athletes from around the United States to be invited to the U.S. Rowing Junior Men’s National Team Selection camp this summer in Princeton, N.J.
From this group 12 rowers will be selected to represent the U.S. at the 2009 FISA World Rowing Junior Championships August 5-8 in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France.
Anderson will fly directly to New Jersey from the Jr. National Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio where he will be competing for the Everett Rowing Association. In the fall he will attend Oregon State University and row for the Beavers. Jorgen would like to thank all of the people who have supported him throughout his rowing career in Lake Stevens and Everett, especially the Lake Stevens Kiwanis Club.
