On Saturday, August 7, 43 Storm swimmers made their way to the Marysville-Pilchuck High School pool to compete in the final meet of the 2009-2010 season, the NCSSL Championships.

Each and every swimmer on Storm contributed to this year’s win.  Of the 20 relays that Storm had to swim, 19 of them scored points for Storm.

Thirteen swimmers got 100 percent best times: Emma Chonzena, Stevie Jorgensen, Caitlin Marsh, Shawntae Palmer, Gabby Peters, Chris Petershagen, Megan Petershagen, Natalie Prescott, Rebekah Slemp, Jeyda Thomson, Morgan Verlinda-Ferrell, McKenna Willey, and Alec Yeutter.

Overall, Storm had 57 percent best times in the 127 events swam.  One swimmer, Rebekah Slemp, competed in her first swim meet.

The biggest time drop was by Morgan Verlinda-Ferrell, she dropped 39.37 seconds in the 100 Free.
All of the Storm coaches were proud of all the great swims, teamwork, cheering, and especially the relays.
